Alok Gupta#
Alok Gupta is a Principal Engineer at AMD, where he leads the graphics and compute system software stack for AMD Embedded platforms. His work focuses on GPU computing, physical AI, physics simulation, Gaussian Splatting, AI/ML optimization, and performance modeling. He works at the intersection of architecture, performance, and customer enablement, helping bring advanced computing workloads to production systems. His recent work includes performance engineering on AMD Ryzen™ processors, HIP kernel development, AI inference optimization, and power and performance characterization of AI and GPU workloads. Over more than two decades spanning AI accelerators, GPUs, and system-on-chip platforms, Alok has worked across GPU architectures, software optimization, AI performance analysis, and developer enablement, helping customers bring real-world AI and accelerated computing workloads to production. Prior to AMD, Alok held research and engineering roles at NVIDIA, Intel, and Synopsys, working on machine learning systems, graphics pipelines, and silicon performance models. He holds advanced degrees in Computer Science and Machine Learning from the University of Texas at Austin, USA, and Liverpool John Moores University, England.
