Hitesh Kandala#
Hitesh Kandala is a Research Engineer on the GenAI team at AMD. He works on VLAs, WAMs and VLMs and is particularly interested in the manipulation of robots in real and sim world. He co-authored a CVPR 2026 paper on faster training and inference of VLMs. Prior to AMD, he was a Research Fellow at Microsoft Research, where he worked on diffusion models and authored a paper at ECCV 2024. He did his bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and graduated in 2022.
