Simran Arora#
Simran Arora leads the Frontier Performance research team at Together AI and is an assistant professor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Caltech. She previously earned her PhD in Computer Science at Stanford University. Her research focuses on expanding the Pareto frontier between AI quality, memory, and compute, studying algorithms, hardware, and applications in lockstep. Simran’s work includes ThunderKittens, a suite of abstractions for writing high-performance GPU kernels across hardware platforms, and foundational methods for managing memory-compute-quality tradeoffs in efficient architecture design.
