Victor Robles, PhD

Victor Robles, PhD is an AI Architect at AMD, working in the Center of Excellence in AI and HPC.

Victor completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of Iowa during the pivotal transition from traditional machine learning to the rise of deep learning. He led efforts to integrate the first deep learning and generative AI algorithms for threat detection on rotary platforms at BAE Systems. Later, he transitioned to the commercial sector at Signify (formerly Philips Lighting), where he deployed the company’s first RAG-based product recommender systems for the Philips myCreation^tm 3D-printed luminaire product line. Currently, he is at AMD, driving AI workloads on Instinct GPUs and the ROCm platform.
