Lixun Zhang#
Lixun is a Senior Software Development Manager at AMD, working on GPU kernel performance for AI workloads. His current focus is on developing high-performance GEMM and attention kernels in Gluon and Triton on AMD Instinct GPUs, and on the compiler infrastructure (LLIR scheduling, register-allocation hints, post-assembly optimization) that makes block-level kernel design tractable. He authored the open-source gfx950-gluon-tutorials repository, which documents the design and measurement methodology behind near-peak-performance GEMM on AMD MI350/MI355 GPUs.
